Molly discovered yoga whilst teaching English in Bali in 2007. It was love at first downward dog and sparked further intensive study in Australia, India and the UK.
After practicing various styles of yoga including Ashtanga, Sivananda, classical Hatha and even laughing yoga she eventually stumbled across Jivamukti Yoga when she moved to London. It is here that she found her yogic home, attracted to a system that managed to translate the ancient yogic teachings into a modern day setting. She loved the way it made a constant correlation between the yoga practice and life off the mat and helped Molly to see the practice as a way of transforming health, cultivating mindfulness, and reconnecting us back to our planet and to one another.
After a few years of practice she decided to take a break from the world of publishing and delve into a month long residential Jivamukti teacher training programme in Dorset. Amazed at both the potential individual and global transformation of yoga she was inspired to spread the techniques far and wide. She then embarked on a year long apprenticeship programme at Jivamukti Yoga London under her inspiring mentor Cat Alip-Douglas.
Molly now teaches all over London and hosts annual overseas retreats. Her classes are focused around the holistic healing of the mind, body, and soul connection with the aim of promoting lasting happiness and freedom. Molly teaches orally through vinyasa, offers hands-on adjustments, and includes chanting, meditation and pranayama. She is now an ambassador for Lululemon, Kings Rd and teaches for them at free events in the community.
Molly is also currently training to be a yoga therapist with Yogacampus. Yoga therapy tailors yoga to suit individual needs, medical conditions and injuries in a 1:1 setting. Molly loves to teach anyone interested in yoga – all abilities and bodies welcome!
