Imagine sinking into a “bath” of soothing sounds that take you on an inner journey of relaxation and transformation. By using frequency and “entrainment,” a sound bath facilitates a shift in brainwaves from our normal waking state to alpha and theta states that are akin to meditation—where true somatic healing can occur.
About Derrick Little
Derrick Little (Mantra Deva Singh) is a Kundalini Yogi, visual artist, sacred sound + REIKI practitioner, teacher and spiritual counselor. He was introduced to yoga in Rishikesh, India in 1996. His study and practice of Kundalini yoga began in 2001 at Kundalini Yoga East in NYC.
A series of challenging life events led him to utilize sound as a tool to recover from trauma. His recovery planted the seeds for his current practice of sound as medicine and resonant therapy.
Since 2010 Derrick has studied, practiced and dedicated himself to using intentional sound as a healing modality. He has learned under the tutelage of master sound healers, including Diane Mandle, Jay Schwed, Tito LaRosa, John Beaulieu, Phillipe and Leia Garnier and Satya Brat at The International Academy of Sound Healing.
He currently is on faculty at All Yoga in Ridgewood Queens and at Urban Asanas in Crown Heights Brooklyn, where he has been playing community sound baths since 2016.
He currently owns and runs a private healing and counseling practice for individuals in the NYC metro area. He is honored to be bringing his skill, devotion and understanding of sound energy medicine to Jivamukti.
