NYC Classes & Offerings

A Message About Jivamukti Yoga School NYC

Dear Friend and Jivamukti Yoga Practitioner,
In this ever-changing world, some things must end in order to spring new beginnings. Our beloved Jivamukti Yoga School at 841 Broadway is closing soon. The last day of classes will be December 22nd 2019.
The multitude of challenges in this current version at our location has left us no choice but to close the doors. Jivamukti Yoga, however, will endure in the New York area and all over the world through our teachers and studios – including new studios that have opened in recent years, and yet another brand new opening in Paris in 2020.
We would like to take this time to say thank you for your support of the NYC Jivamukti Yoga school. We would also like to thank our founders Sharon Gannon and David Life, who brought Jivamukti Yoga to New York City in 1984. A big thanks to all the teachers who taught at the School over the years, and brought Jivamukti Yoga to countless individuals like you, who practiced and took part in embodying our 5 Tenets – including devotion and compassion to all beings including animals and the environment.
As Sharon Gannon says:
The physical space known as the NYC Jivamukti Yoga School may not endure, but the enrichment that we have all received from our association with it will endure – if we nurture the eternal positive principles we have all received, during our time spent within its walls. This is indeed a time to be thankful.
For those of you who have unused classes in your class-packs, we strongly urge you to use the unused classes in the remaining time. But if that is not possible, we assure you that we will work with you to provide refunds where applicable and Jivamukti credits for other offerings within our ecosystem.
If you wish to keep the credit, you can use it towards a digital subscription, attendance at our next annual Tribe Gathering in Barcelona, Spain (May 2020), or at our Jivamukti Yoga Jersey City Center. We request your patience with us as we work on each and every individual case after closing. You don’t have to email or call us. We will contact each and every one of you with unused classes to allow you to select either the refund or appropriate credit that will be of use to you.
We are extremely grateful for all the time you have spent with us at 841 Broadway, and we wish you the very best in your spiritual practice. Our talented New York-based Jivamukti Yoga Teachers will be communicating with you soon. We certainly hope that we will meet again in New York and share the next adventure with you.
Until Then, Lokah Samasta Sukhino Bhavantu.
Kindest Regards and Namaste.
