Derek ‘Pashupa’ Goodwin became a 300-hour certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher in 2011, and has been teaching regularly ever since. His study of Thai Massage informs his understanding of anatomy and yoga assists, and his flowing playfulness comes from his background in AcroYoga. He is currently enrolled in the 500-hour advanced yoga teacher training with Amy Ippoliti and 90 Monkeys.
Derek often goes by his spiritual name, Pashupa, which is Sanskrit for “protector of animals.” He weaves stories into his classes that elucidate his love of yogic philosophy, physics, and other wisdom traditions. Expect to be physically challenged while learning about the connection between the physical and spiritual practices of yoga.
