Ruthie was first interested in yoga as a means to strengthen her physical body and recover from injuries sustained in an accident in 2009. She quickly realized that yoga offers much more than just physical exercise. Through regular practice of asana, meditation, pranayama, and study of yogic philosophy, Ruthie began to heal not only her physical injuries but also her mental and emotional traumas. She is passionate about sharing her love of yoga and the benefits of the practice.
In 2015, Ruthie completed a 350hr yoga teacher training at Swan River Yoga in New Orleans, LA. She became a Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher in 2018, after completing a 300hr teacher training in India. Ruthie currently lives in Memphis, TN.
