While working in an International consulting company, Ari was posted in Melbourne for 2 years where he found yoga relieved the stress from his job. It also led him to yoga philosophy to answer his personal quest. He became a Hatha Yoga teacher and started teaching when he arrived back to Jakarta in 1997.
Arif was inspired by Jivamukti method on the first meeting with Sharon and David as they came to visit Bali for a Jivamukti class in 2014. His next Jivamukti classes were with Jules and Yogeswari when they came to Jakarta for Namaste Festival or Workshops,Arif became a Jivamukti teacher in 2015 and finished his 800hr Certification with Jules Febre in NYC the next year.
Arif’s vinyasa classes are dynamic, includes spiritual teachings, chanting, pranayama, hands-on assists, uplifting heavenly music and short meditation at the end. His asana assists are exceptional as his knowledge of bodywork allows him to effortlessly engage with the class participants.
