I am Pashupa. My name means 'protector of the animals'. In 1996 I became a vegan for ethical reasons, a path turned into a spiritual journey that led me to yoga. In 2009 I moved to New Orleans and found my first influential beautiful Jivamukti Yoga teachers - Michelle Baker, Keith Porteous and Libby Love. With their encouragement I manifested the opportunity to complete the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training in 2011.
I love to read the yogic scriptures and study Hindu mythology and integrate the stories and wisdom into my classes. I am a musician and love to lead chanting of mantra with harmonium, guitar and ukulele! I of course love teaching the Jivamukti Method, which gives me a solid structure to express my creativity in asana sequencing.
