HAPPY & FREE TO

May all beings everywhere be happy and free, and may the thoughts, words, and actions of my own life contribute in some way to that
happiness and to that freedom for all.
Jivamukti Yoga x PETA
As animal activists and yoga practitioners, we share the belief that true freedom is not possible until all beings – animals, fish, plants and humans, are treated equally and with compassion. This is where we proudly come together with PETA with a campaign dedicated to understanding animal’s voices, through the lenses of yoga.
Take the seat of compassion
In our practice, we connect with the Earth and all creatures living on it through the āsana – through our postures, or ‘seat’. Every āsana offers us a chance to connect with the ‘otherness’; when we take the seat of the cobra, the crow, the fish, we step into their universe for a moment. We start to see the world as they see it, feel their feelings, and eventually develop compassion.
We invite all animal lovers, activists and anyone who is willing to explore to practice and take the seat of those who fly, roam and swim – to find out more about their conditions, and what we can do to help.
