We spend much of our week getting things done. Restorative yoga  is designed to give you an opportunity to relax, settle into your own body and shift into “being” mode.

Jivamukti Yoga Yoga Center New York offers weekly restorative classes that are suitable for all levels. No experience with yoga is necessary to receive the benefits.

Classes will begin with some active asanas (postures) before settling into the restorative practice of letting go and releasing tension. The asanas are supported by blankets, blocks and other props and often held for several minutes at a time. Meditation is also practiced. Expect to leave class feeling nourished and refreshed.
