When I first discovered yoga through Ashtanga and eventually Jivamukti, I was instantly hooked. The physical movement drew me in but the underlying theory and essence kept me coming back. I quickly sought more info on this practice but it wasn’t until the mid 2000’s that I would incorporate a consistent daily practice into my life. Eventually following my passion into learning more, I sought out senior teachers who shared my love for studying the physical, mental and subtle aspects of yoga. Over the years I have completed teacher trainings in Jivamukti, power yoga/vinyasa and multiple trainings in the ashtanga method; including first, second and third series, all with Tim Miller at Ashtanga Yoga Center in Encinitas, California. As an ex professional athlete, my classes incorporate modern biomechanics and knowledge of the body, into the more traditional practice of asana. When I am not teaching yoga, I spend time drinking coffee, trying to surf and tending to my tiny garden of plants I have collected while traveling.
