Esther Sophia grew up in Vienna, Austria. She studied and worked in different European cities until she found her home base in New York City. She obtained a Master of Fine Arts (MFA) from The Actors Studio Drama School in New York. She is a storyteller at heart and most dedicated to acting and Yoga. Yoga came into Esther’s life about 10 years ago and the journey naturally unfolded, leading to her completion of the 300hr Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training in June of 2017. To Esther-Sophia, yoga is a magic medicine – the constant grounding force in her life. She weaves her life experiences and inspirations into her vigorous classes, leading students into a place of both strength and vulnerability, and holding the space for the experience to be empowering. She is deeply thankful to her Mum, Gabriele and Sissy Marino, her first yoga teacher. She is also eternally grateful for her Jivamukti teachers, Rima Rani Rabbath and Monica Jaggi, ;her Shamanic teacher, Kaarina Saarinen; and her late acting coach, Elizabeth Kemp.
