Jayne was born and raised in Northern New Mexico with an Engineer father and an Artist mother. Her family household was filled with projects inside and out. Jayne earned a BFA in Textile Design from The University of Kansas and also explored Papermaking, Photography and Dance. She earned a Montessori Certificate from MECA in Chicago and was a lead teacher before staying home with her own two kids. Jayne returned to the Land of Enchantment with her family and gathers inspiration daily from the beauty of Northern New Mexico. Jayne has an Iyengar-based Yoga teacher certification completed in Baja Mexico and is a 2005 Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training graduate. Jayne is currently Head of Youth Education at the Harwood Museum of Art in Taos, New Mexico. She plans, designs, teaches and evaluates many educational programs, including Harwood Art in the Schools, Community Days, Art and Movement and Art Exploration Workshops. She also teaches a weekly adult Jivamukti Yoga class in the museum and in private studios in Taos. Jayne continues to deepen her understanding of living yoga, which began in 1969. Jayne lives in deep gratitude for her Jivamukti teachers Sharon Gannon and David Life traveling when she can to study at their feet in New York. Bhakti yoga and expressing this love of the Divine through Kirtan is one of Jayne’s favorite ways to connect to others!
