Jonelle has been interested in Yoga since starting on a path to wellness in 2010. After graduating university, office life soon set in and changes needed to be made. This began with Yoga as auxiliary to other fitness disciplines. In 2015, after many years in Afghanistan, Jonelle was recommended Yoga Nidra as a way to regain control over sleep and deal with PTSD. In 2017, Jonelle discovered Jivamukti Yoga- a way to meditate and calm the mind while also engaging in a rigorous physical practice – the best of all worlds, moving meditation. Jonelle completed a 200hr YA teacher training course but felt she needed more foundation. When the Jivamukti TT became available during COVID, it was a perfect opportunity to dive deeper into spiritual practice, and to afford others – mostly underserved communities of veterans and wounded warriors- access to the spiritual Yoga journey of Jivamukti.
