Kumari (a.k.a. Kumiko) is originally from Tokyo, Japan and has been teaching yoga for over a decade. She is an 800-Hour Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teacher, and has mentored at Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Trainings from 2009 until 2012, before traveling to share the Jivamukti Method outside of NYC in Birmingham, Asheville and Chicago. Kumari brings a wonderful understanding of the world to her classes. She graduated from Boston University with a B.S. in psychology, and has studied Ashtanga Yoga with Tim Miller in Encinitas, CA. She humbly bows down to the lotus feet of her teachers, Sharon Gannon and David Life.
