Lamina was born in the United States, with roots in Germany, Thailand, and Hong Kong. She first encountered yoga in 2010, during a time of personal hardship, and was deeply touched by its transformative power. Over time, yoga has become much more than a practice for her—it has become a way to navigate this life with awareness, compassion, and grace.

Teaching since 2020, Lamina has shared the practices of Vinyasa, Ashtanga, and Jivamukti Yoga with gratitude for the many teachers who have guided her path. She completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Teacher Training in 2020 under Sonia Taylor Bach, followed by the 75-hour Jivamukti Spiritual Warrior Training in 2023 under the guidance of Moritz Ulrich and Niklas Noack. Shortly thereafter, she undertook the 300-hour Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Training in India with Hachi Yu and Petros Haffenrichter, mentored by Juan Sierra—an experience that profoundly shaped her approach to practice and teaching. In 2025, Lamina continued to deepen her understanding of Ashtanga Yoga through a teacher training with David Swenson, where she cultivated a deeper appreciation for assists, self-discipline, and the balance of joy and ease within the practice.

Rooted in the Ashtanga and Jivamukti traditions, Lamina’s classes blend strength and mindfulness, accompanied by thoughtfully curated playlists and supported through skilfull hands-on assists. Her teaching style is intentional and compassionate, encouraging students to connect more deeply with themselves and the world around them—both on and beyond the mat.

Lamina is currently teaching at the Jivamukti Yoga Center in Cologne, where she continues to explore and share yoga as a path toward awareness, presence, and transformation.
