Michelle is a honorary graduate in Theology and Comparative Religion from the University of Manchester. Studying Theology was fascinating for Michelle and fulfilled some of life’s philosophical questions that she had always been seeking. It was during these studies that Michelle discovered ‘yoga’ as a weekly exercise class. Post graduation, and for the subsequent 10 years, Michelle often came back to yoga in various forms and methods always searching for something but rarely feeling satisfied. Seeking more, in 2009 Michelle changed her life and moved to Basel along with her 2 cats to start a new exciting journey and discovered the Jivamukti method. Through daily practice Michelle learnt self-discipline, balance and harmony, how to heal and strengthen mind and body and how to reconnect to herself: “it made me a better friend, daughter, co-worker and partner – it’s a beautiful gift to give to yourself and extends out to those you love” Within a year Michelle had completed the Jivamukti Yoga® 350-Hour Teacher Training Certification Program in New York studying under the guidance of Sharon Gannon, David Life, Lady Ruth Lauer Manenti, Gabriela Bozic and Manorama. Having also studied with Yogaswari, Mark Whitwell, Manu Jois, Gwyn Williams and may other renowned teachers, Michelle is passionate to pass on the teachings of her lineage and to help others to be compassionate for the well being of all creatures sharing our Earth.
