Sandy is an 800+hr Advanced Certified Jivamukti Yoga teacher, currently serving as mentor for the Jivamukti Teacher Apprenticeship Program at Jivamukti Yoga Sydney. In October 2019 Sandy will be co-facilitating the first 75hr Jivamukti Teacher Training in Sydney with Doug Whittaker, and in February 2020 she will serve as mentor on the 300hr Jivamukti Teacher Training in India. Sandy first became a yoga teacher at the age of 19, and went on to become an Advanced Jivamukti Yoga teacher at 22. Hailing from a background of theatre, music and dramatic arts; her interests lie in making the yogic scriptures engaging, accessible and relevant to modern life, and doing this in a creative way, without diluting the substance of the teachings. As a dual citizen of both Denmark and Australia, Sandy travels and teaches in Europe annually, but spends most of her year under the Aussie sun, and as a core member of the Jivamukti Yoga Sydney satsang and teaching faculty, alongside her partner Sas. Every month Sandy records classes in Sydney and uploads them for streaming/download from her website, available by donation.
