steve, originally from the Chicago area of US, has been living in Japan for over 20 years. his partner, megumi, is from Saga, which is located on the island of Kyushu. steve & megumi sager created eigokobo, originally an English language school, in March of 2000. eigokobo evolved to include international homestay, outdoor events, vegan cooking, art and yoga. In 2018, eigokobo reached a decade of also being a yoga center – the first of its kind in Kyushu. Both steve & megumi are certified Jivamukti Yoga Teachers and have received certification in several forms of yoga, including the Ashtanga tradition. steve & meg were introduced to the Jivamukti method in Japan by an amazing and inspirational teacher by the name of Jules Febre. We are thankful to be on the path of yoga environed by a great number of profound teachers. We hope our efforts raise the comfort, calm and kindness in our community.
