In 2003, Virginia stepped into a Jivamukti Yoga studio for the first time in her life with her 5-year old daughter. That was her introduction to yoga. After a year of only Basics classes with her daughter, she emerged with a strong foundation in yoga fundamentals and ready to try Open classes. Since then, she has become a dedicated practitioner of yoga and meditation. In 2017 after her daughter went off to college, Virginia was finally free to pursue the Jivamukti Yoga teacher training in India. Virginia incorporates the tenets of Jivamukti Yoga and the Bhakti tradition into her practice which brings a mindfulness and intention to her instruction. She travels the world, but she calls Jivamukti home. Virginia is deeply thankful to all the Jivamukti teachers over the past two decades who have shared their wisdom and inspired her practice. To Julie Kirkpatrick, Yogeswari, Lady Ruth, and Monica Jaggi, my profound gratitude.
