ADVANCED CERTIFIED

Advanced Certified Jivamukti Teachers have passed a Board Exam and are qualified to serve as a mentor at the Jivamukti Yoga 300 Hour Residential Teacher Training and in the Jivamukti Yoga Teacher Apprenticeship Program, and are qualified to apply to operate a Jivamukti Yoga Center. The Exam covers teaching skills, asana practice skills, yoga philosophy and terms, Sanskrit language, anatomy and other relevant topics through practical, interview and written components.

800hr certified

Jivamukti 800HR Certified Teachers have completed the Jivamukti Teaching Apprenticeship Program (JTAP), with a curriculum augmented by mentored teaching, practice, self-study and additional workshops, combining for a total of 500-plus hours of training in addition to their original 300HR Certification. The apprentice/mentor system enhances practical teaching skills, directs independent study and integrates an asana and meditation practice schedule that contributes to professional enhancement and the deepening of sadhana.

300HR Certified Jivamukti Yoga Teachers have completed Jivamukti Yoga 300-Hour Teacher Training, a month-long residential program held at different locations around the world. This rigorous program taught by senior Jivamukti Yoga teachers is considered to be the most comprehensive yoga teacher training available. It attracts students from around the world and produces empowered, informed and confident yoga teachers. The training teaches you to incorporate asana, chanting, music, meditation, activism and scriptural study into a challenging practice underpinned by a quest for enlightenment.
